Book of the Week - "Slow Love"

Book of the Week - "Slow Love: How I lost my job, put on my pajamas & found happiness" by D. Browning. There cannot be a person on Earth who does not sometimes wonder what the purpose of their life is. Dominique Browning was lucky enough to get fired, so she had time to find out who she was or might be. And we are lucky that she was able to wright (often with great humor) about her loss, her loves, her pajamas and ultimately, her return to life.

Today American Library held a lecture about Academic Integruty for a group of Master Degree students and PhD students with professors and researchers of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, presented by Head of American Library, Svitlana Chukanova . Academic Integrity is honest and responsible scholarship. This includes values such as avoidance of cheating or plagiarism; maintenance of academic standards; honesty and rigor in research and academic publishing.

Picture Display - "Election"

Picture Display - "Election". During this Week American Library prepared a picture exhibition about history of Elections in the United States, and history of U.S. Presidency. This picture nstallations create a space of contemplation and reflection, allowing visitors to step out of 2016 Election into a U.S. historic reality they could have otherwise never known.

His poems have been translated into numerous languages and his books have been published in many countries including Turkey, Holland, Russia, France, Mexico, Macedonia, Romania, Spain and China.
The topic is "Ilya Kaminsky – Poetry Reading and Q and A with the audience." Our guest will also give tips on creative writing and on translation into/from English and talk about translation of poetry in general.
