Decorate a tabletop or a medium-sized tree with gerberas or any other hardy flowers. The trick to keep them alive is florist’s vials. Use florist wire to attach the vials to the tree branches and fill them with water. Place flowers in them and enjoy their beauty. The flowers will last for a week to ten days.

Board games have been played in most cultures and societies throughout history; some even pre-date literacy skill development in the earliest civilizations.
Most board games involve both luck and strategy. But an important feature of them is the amount of randomness/luck involved, as opposed to skill.
A player may be hampered by a few poor rolls of the dice in Risk or Monopoly, but over many games a good player will win more often. While some purists consider luck not to be a desirable component of a game, others counter that elements of luck can make for far more diverse and multi-faceted strategies, as concepts such as expected value and risk management must be considered.
Since July 2011 American Library patrons may enjoy 14 board games, including Monopoly, Scrabble and Boggle.

One hundred and fifty years after the Civil War began, its echoes are still felt across the United States in lingering divisions between North and South, in debates over the flying of the Confederate flag, and even in arguments over the basic causes of the conflict.
This year America celebrates 150th anniversary of Civil War.
American Library staff prepared book display "Commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War".
